My name is Amrita Prem Kaur and I have been a practitioner of Kundalini Yoga for the past 16 years. Over the past 2 years, with the help and encouragement of local teacher and dear friend, Ra Ma Kaur, I completed my level one Kundalini Yoga teacher training with Harijiwan, Tej, and Guru Jagat in July 2016. The commitment to my Kundalini practice has brought stability to my everyday life; a calmer and more grounded outlook on reality, and an ability to show up as a more graceful and compassionate human.
I am very passionate about the powerful effects Kundalini yoga has had in my life, and am very excited to be able to share this technology with others. I experience kundalini yoga as a technology to maintain the body systems in order to keep up with the fast moving technology of our planet. By sharing the techniques of Kundalini, I hope to remind us that we are lighthouses, here to uplift our fellow humans and shine light upon the planet.
I’ve lived in Asheville so long, my heart belongs here. You may have heard me sing around town under the name of Utah Green. I have been a singer/songwriter in the area for many years. I truly love music and sound current as a means for healing, and intend on learning mantras to sing and play music for meditations in class. Come join me in learning this powerful method of yoga.
I currently teach at Weaverville Yoga on Sunday mornings 11:30am-1pm, and will be adding more classes this spring/summer.
